One of my favorite times of the day is the middle of the night, often after midnight. It seems that as the vast majority of people sleep that the clutter of our human thoughts dies down a little and the magical hum of life moving thru the world around us rises in volume. If I stop to feel the beauty of midnight, I can suddenly feel myself surrounded by an almost fairy land beauty and that amazingly large presence that loves me, almost cradles me with this magical life. It's as if I've entered into a Thomas Kinkade painting & the Presence feels very real and very full to me.
Some holidays are like that. Somehow all humanity jumps ship from the normal state of drama and embraces the spirit of the holiday. Suddenly the specialness of life stands out for us. UNITY WORLD PRAYER DAY, which is today, is like that. The beauty is strong & there is magic in the air. Don't miss this time to immerse yourself in the Presence and get carried away with the beauty of life. We like to think that it's because millions of people have their attention on the sacredness of life thru their dedication to this prayer vigil. However this Presence is always there. We choose to turn away from the drama of life and embrace the sacredness of life on certain occasions. Well this is one of those occasions and we need to take advantage of the "step up" we get from everyone agreeing to the sacredness of the day.
